Dorothe Fay Wheeler was born to Rutherford B. and Grace (Wilson) Snider in Weiser, Idaho. On November 23 1941, she married Leland Wheeler in Kimball, Nebraska. Dorothe spent her life moving from one place to another. As a child she moved from Weiser, Idaho to Gainsville, Georgia, to Greeley, Colorado living at several different addresses in Greeley, then back to Idaho, and back again to Greeley.

When she was 8 years old her traveling days were over until she married. Well as the saying goes history repeats itself and so after Leland and Dorothe were married they moved 32 times. As a teenager Dorothe studied hard and graduated from Greeley High School in 1940. During her Senior year at high school she worked in a drive in restaurant 7 days a week and started every weekday at 5 pm till midnight and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 pm until 5 or 5:30 am. Her wages were 10 cents an hour.

Dorothe married and had 3 children and was a mother and a housewife and an expert at moving and taking a little dump of a home or a trailer house and turning it into a perfect little home for her family to live in. She sewed, she cleaned, she baked, she reupholstered nearly every couch she ever owned. She forgave living in a brick and mortar home so that she and her children could be with their Dad who had to travel to work and lived in several different trailer homes until 1963 when they bought a home in Northglenn, Colorado. The last two and a half years she spent in North Las Vegas, she read well over 250 books using her kindle.

Dorothe died Friday September 13, 2013 peacefully in her sleep at home in North Las Vegas, Nevada with her daughter, son in law, and 3 granddaughters. She was a loving and wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Wife, Great-Grandmother and will be missed by many.
