NOTE:
The town of Sonora was started on the banks of the Missouri River in 1857. Burials were started in the cemetery in 1858. In 1881 a flood washed out most of the cemetery. The remains were moved to a cemetery located in the center of a field which is now overgrown. Stones are tipped and unreadable in most cases. The Town of Watson erected a monument to all those who were buried in the cemetery. Info by: DonZas
