Ella B. Stewart, 96, of Puryear died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Asbury Cove Assisted Living in Ripley.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

William Jones and Randy Tracy will officiate. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in northwest Henry County.

Selected as pallbearers are Don Jones, William Don Jones Jr., John, Bert and Butch Paschall and Robert Newcomb.

Charles Paschall will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.

Born in Cottage Grove on Sept. 8, 1913, she was the daughter of Holmes C. and Jewel Hays Milliken, now both deceased.

She was married on Jan. 18, 1936, to Luther Perry Stewart, who died Feb. 19, 2003.

She was a member of Mill Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She leaves one son: Jimmy Joe (Cynthella) Stewart of Brighton; three grandchildren: Diana Marie (Keith) Douglass of Franklin, Sylvia (Paul) Morrison of Orlando, Fla., and Joseph Perry (Taryn) Stewart of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; and nine great-grandchildren.
