James Byrd, age 93, of The Beans Creek Community, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2003, at Yancey Nursing Center, in Burnsville, NC.
A native of Mitchell County, NC he was the son of the late Lace and Nora Garland Byrd.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Stevens Byrd who passed away in 1989. He was a member of Beans Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include; Brother - Nathan Byrd, of Bakersville, NC, and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Interment will be at Beans Creek Cemetery.
