I welcome DOCUMENTED corrections. I'm in the process of reviewing many memorials that have recently transferred to me after their manager passed away, so I appreciate proven corrections. It helps to make this a better resource for everyone. If you have a correction to suggest, please use the site edit suggestion option. Feel free to message me after you've used that option, if you have additional information to provide regarding the suggested edit. Patience is a virtue here. I'm a volunteer, just like others who create and maintain memorials on this site. The site allows 21 days to accept or deny a suggested edit.

I'm happy to transfer a memorial for someone not related to me to a proven direct family member of the memorialized person, ACCORDING TO THE GUIDELINES of this site. If you want a memorial transferred to you, please help me determine that you are a DIRECT relative by providing a paper trail or other helpful information that can help determine your DIRECT relationship to the person memorialized. The site defines "a direct relative within four generations" as including "your spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

DO NOT leave corrections in the comments with flowers posted on a memorial. I've recently found some of those that go back for years and apparently were not noticed by prior creators/managers of the memorials.

I've used this website for several years for research but only recently have started managing memorials and trying to fill photo requests. In my genealogy research, I've found so many graves, and even entire cemeteries, that seem forgotten. I just want to help preserve the memories of those who came before us.

My short surname list is Owens, Breeding, McFarlane, Jackson, Elswick, Smith, Powers, Presley, Stinson, Wilson, Stiltner - all in Appalachian areas of Virginia and Kentucky for the most part.

In addition to my family memorials and memorials from the areas where they lived, I also manage memorials in Yancey and Mitchell counties in North Carolina which is where I live.
