Funeral services were held at Scott's Chapel Friday afternoon for W. W. Cooper, 73, farmer who died last Thursday at his home two miles east of Gatesville.
Rev. Bill Grimes and Rev. Joe Cranfill conducted the services, and burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Blanchard, Alton Sims, Ed Beck, James F. Box, Norris Smith and Jack Bankhead.
Mr. Cooper, a native of Kosse, was married to Miss Mollie Maines Oct. 26, 1902. He had lived in Coryell County since 1919.
He was a member of the Mountain Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Willie Cooper of Killeen and Floy Cooper, Billy Cooper and Nathan Cooper, all of Gatesville; three daughters, Mrs. R. A. Wittie of Gatesville, Mrs. Vera Watson of Killeen and Mrs. S. L. Yeilding of Brownwood; one brother, Earl Cooper of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. Lantie Warneke of Marlin, Mrs. Ivy Lawrence of Marlin, Mrs. Bertie Warneke of Dallas, Mrs. Cora Curry of China Springs and Mrs. Rosie Stanford of Stanford, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
