Marguerite (Maggie) Cantrell of Gatesville died Wednesday at Coryell Memorial Hospital. She was 75.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Restland Cemetery with the Rev. Rex Tilly officiating.
She was born July 7, 1921, in Nacogdoches to the late Charles and Clara Watkins. She was reared and attended school in Seagraves.
She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1941.
After her marriage to Horace Cantrell, they resided in Arizona until his death in 1973. She then moved to Gatesville where she was employed in the medical records department at Coryell Memorial Hospital.
She later worked for the City of Gatesville before her retirement.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Kathleen Williams of Gatesville and Eva Rob Adams of San Antonio; a step-daughter, Margie Adams of Cleburne; one step-son, James R. Cantrell of Kansas City, KS; and two step-grandchildren.
