Lloyd was the son of Nils Magnus Magnusson (Peterson) and Hilda Augusta Johansdotter.

He had seven siblings: Esther, Carl Winfred, Hildred Sophie, Clifford Milton, Alvin Leander, Ellen Nora, and Marget Augusta.

Lloyd never married, he lived with his brother Alvin for years.

Lloyd Peterson 1897-1964

Lloyd Iranus Peterson, age 67, passed away suddenly at his rural Bagley Home on Thursday evening, May 28, 1964. He had been in good health until the time of his passing.
Mr. Peterson was born on March 17, 1897, in Montevideo, Minnesota to parents Nels and Hilda Peterson. At an early age he moved with his family to Clearbrook. He served in the Army during World War I and again entered the U. S. Army in 1927 and 1928. During the "thirties" he worked in the Duluth area doing timber work. During World War II he served in the Army again and latter did defense work in California. For the past 16 years he has lived in the Clearbrook and rural Bagley area.
Mr. Peterson never married and is survived by one sister: Mrs. Alvin Hundtoft of Brush, Colorado and two brothers: Clifford of North Dakota and Alvin of Bagley. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Peterson were held on Tuesday, June 2nd in the Augustana Lutheran Church of Clearbrook. The Rev. John Dehaan of Clearbrook will officiate and the interment will be made in the Auguatana Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home. Military honors will be by the Melvin Johnson Legion Post of Clearbrook.
