Born Aug. 13, 1918, in Burgettstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clifford Ray and Ruth Josephine Ayers Wade.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, she served in the Women's Army Corps.
She volunteered for the Washington County Red Cross for 25 years.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion and Mack Trucks Golden Bulldogs and Fas8naters Square Dance Club.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Louis D. Sestak; two daughters, Dawn A. Sestak of Summerville, S.C., and Ruth A. Bender of Aberdeen, Md.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Bish.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert N. Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown, 20 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Arrangements are by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
