HAGERSTOWN,MARYLAND - Louis D. Sestak, 86, of 17920 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, Md.

Born June 27, 1918, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Martin and Agnes Varvo Sestak.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Sestak, in 2004.

He was employed by Mack Trucks Inc. for 20 years, retiring in 1982.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Golden Bulldogs; B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378; Morris Frock American Legion Post 42; and the 40 & 8. He volunteered with the Red Cross and was a member of the Fasin8ers Square Dance Club and the Seniors Bowling League.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Agnes Sestak of Summerville, S.C., and Ruth Ann Bender of Aberdeen, Md.; one brother, James Sestak of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Jim Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, Md.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Washington County Chapter, 1131 Conrad Court, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
