Anna Stella was born on her parents' farm in Carroll Twp., the younger of two daughters surviving to womanhood. She was also known as Anastasia and Estella Fannie but was known as Stella to her family and friends. She attended a local rural school and on February 17, 1914, married Louis M. Zmolek, the marriage being per formed by Rev. Father John P. Broz. Louis had been employed in the L. M. Youngman store in Toledo for some time before his marriage. The couple began housekeeping on their farm three miles northeast of Toledo, where their daughter, Dorothy, was born. When Dorothy was one month old, Stella died of tuberculosis at age 23.

The funeral of Mrs. Louis Zmolek was held at the home, one half mile north of the County Home, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery near Clutier. This is very sad as she leaves a little daughter about five weeks old. She was Miss Stella Nechanicky, from southeast of Traer. Quick consumption was the cause of her death.
