Burger, Ira S. son of Christian W. and Elizabeth Shafer Burger, was born near Libertyville, Iowa March 6, 1866, and died at Perryton, Texas November 13, 1952. He was united in marriage to Mae Pope, to this union were born twelve children. Surviving are four sons, six daughters, thirty-eight grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. Services were held at the Waka Church of the Brethren by Albert Williams of Thomas, Oklahoma and assisted by the undersigned---Alvin F. Klotz, Waka, Texas.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Waka Church of the Brethren for Ira S. BURGER, retired farmer of the Waka community, who died November 13 in a local hospital. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. BURGER had lived in Ochiltree county for 31 years, farming near Waka until his retirement several years ago. He was born March 6, 1866, in Iowa.
Rev. Albert Williams of Thomas, Okla., assisted by Rev. Al KLlotz of Waka, conducted the final rites. Pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased were Dean BURGER, Tuney BURGER, David BURGER, Wayne HINES, Galen STUMP, Stanley FROSCH, Mansel KEITH and Darrell GODFREY.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lester STUMP of Mountain Grove, Mo., Mrs. Floyd FROSCH of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Henry KEITH of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Harold TENNEY of Sasakwa, Okla., Mrs. Nadine GODFREY of Pampa, Mrs. Arthur MAYO of Roswell, N. M.; four sons, Ray G. BURGER of Pampa, C. D. BURGER of Adair, Okla., R. O. BURGER of St. Jo, Arkansas, and G. A. BURGER of Waka; a sister, Mrs. Ida THOMAS of Bellville, Kansas, two brothers, C. S. BURGER of Sumner, Okla., and Dave BURGER of Sumner, Okla., 38 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Ochiltree cemetery.
