Grace Ester Burger Tenney was born on Dec. 28,1906 in Minco, Oklahoma Indian Territory to Ira Sealy and Lottie Mae Pope Burger. She was the tenth of twelve children.

She married Harrold Eugene Tenney on Feb. 27, 1933 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma. To this union were born 5 children. She died on Feb. 15, 1987

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ernest Tenney, her parents, and nine of her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Harrold; two sons, Archie and Ray; two daughters, Maxine Tenney Lee and Rosalie Tenney.
