WHITMIRE, SC — Mrs. Barbara G. Bostic, 72, wife of Lawrence Carl "Pete" Bostic of 608 Railroad Ave., Whitmire, passed away, Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at the National Health Care-Clinton.
Mrs. Bostic was born in Rome, GA, July 22, 1937 a daughter of the late Harvey and Irene Beck. She retired from J.P. Stevens Co. and was a volunteer with the Whitmire Jayces.
Mrs. Bostic was a member of Master's Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years are two daughters, Patricia Wilson and husband Sammy of Union and Darlene Styles of Whitmire; one son, Pete Bostic and wife Marta of Whitmire; one sister, Doris Knight of Laurens; a special nephew reared in the home, Brice "Smokey" Steele of Joanna; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bostic was predeceased by two sisters and 3 brothers.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at Whitmire Cemetery conducted by Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and Rev. Bill Yon.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
