Grandpa Alexander who has been in a hospital at Hastings for some time, died Monday. Deceased was the father of John and Pearl Alexander, well known to Nelson people. He had lived for almost a century, and is survived by his life's companion who lives with her son John south of town. The body was taken to Chester for burial.

HUSBAND AND WIFE DIE A WEEK APART

Mr. Alexander, a former resident of Hubbell, died at Nelson last week and was buried at Chester. Just one week from the time he was buried, Mrs. Alexander died and was buried in the Chester cemetery (sic) beside her husband.
