Olive Baker Thompson was born August 30, 1914 in Mendon, Cache County, Utah. She was the daughter of Charles H. and Charlotte Jane Ladie Baker. She married William Elwood Thompson on January 21, 1942 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was reared and educated in Mendon and had lived in Salt Lake City, and Riverdale. She was a member of the Riverdale 1st LDS Ward, where she was a teacher of children all her life in Primary, Sunday School and Scouts. She also worked in the library. Olive and Elwood had 4 children, Donna, Dale, Norvin and Diane. Elwood died from injuries sustained in WW II April 13, 1954.
