J. E. Skiles Found Dead Near Farm Home by Friends

This community was severely shocked to learn of the disappearance of John Edward Skiles at his home place, the I. H. Terry farm, south of Stamford last Monday. A search was made for Mr. Skiles, who had gone to the pasture southeast of the home about six miles south of Stamford, to drive up some calves. About 1 a. m., Aug 30, Tuesday, the body was found by the aid of flashlights carried by the searching party of about 200 persons.
It appears that Mr. Skiles had died early in the day Monday of a heart trouble; that he had lain for many hours in the sun, and body was in rather a bad condition when found.
The Kinney Funeral home ambulance conveyed the remains to the Kinney Funeral Home, where preparation for burial was at once made, the funeral taking place at New Hope
