Annie Shefford Thompson was born June 11, 1852 in Middlesex, London, England. She met and married William Thompson November 11 1861. Together they had 5 children; Susan, Annie, William Edward, Sarah Susannah and George Arthur. Annie's husband William emigrated from Liverpool England February 18, 1856 at the age of 16 on the ship "Caravan". He worked on a farm to save money so the rest of his family could come to America. While William and Annie lived in Salt Lake, he worked on the Old Utah Theater and helped with the first performance. He also hauled rock for the Salt Lake Temple. Annie passed away October 24, 1874 and is buried by her husband William and his second wife Jane along with some of their children.
