Roy was the son of Miles Back and Lenora Watson. He married Golden Hatton. They never had any children. Roy worked as an engineer for the State of Kentucky Highway Dept. He also served in the Navy during WW2. Roy and Golden later moved to Spring City, TN. When he died, his body was returned home and buried here, where his wife's parents were buried.

Roy Bach, of Spring City, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Spring City Care Center. He was 91.

Born in Jackson, Ky., to the late Miles and Nora Watson Bach, Mr. Bach was a retired highway engineer with the State of Kentucky Highway Department. A member of First Baptist Church of Spring City, he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Golden Hatton Bach of Spring City; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Spring City with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating. Funeral services will also be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Breathitt Funeral Home in Jackson, Ky., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Jackson County Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vision 2000 Fund of Spring City First Baptist Church. Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City was in charge of local arrangements.
