She was born March 4, 1933, the only daughter of Leland B. and Eloise Hansen Adams, in Ogden, Utah.
She graduated from South High School and attended LDS Business College. She married Frank Winward on May 1, 1953 in Salt Lake City, later moving to Roy and residing there for many years. Barbara was active supporter of her children at school and in their sporting activities.
She was a member of the LDS Church, where she cherished her callings in the primary for more than fifty years. She enjoyed serving with the volunteers at the H.A.F.B. Museum for many years. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She is the greatest mother anyone could ever have.
Barbara is survived by five sons, Dean (Wendy), Steven (Patty), Brent (Lolly), Jay (Ray), Kent (Melissa), two daughters, Pam (Kurt) Bennington, Rae (Tim) Huggins, twenty-three grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, also survived by one brother Robert (Karen) Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Crest Ward Chapel, 3845 South 2000 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Cedar Crest Ward Building.
Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Downey, Idaho.
