Gilbert Shereck 1907-1960

A resident of bagley since 1921 died at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital Saturday, December 24, after an illness of a few months.

He was Gilbert Shereck, age 53 a farmer who in the past five years has driven one of the school buses carrying students to Bagley.

Born February 8, 1907 at Pisek, North Dakota, he was a son of John and Rose Shereck. He was married to Adeline Drtine on June 16, 1931. In recent years they have made their home on the Riewer farm east of Bagley.

Survivors include his wife Adeline, his father John and five sons. They are Ronald of Duluth; John of Grygla; and James, Dennis and Vernon, all at home. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Mrs. George Gardner of Bagley; Mrs. Joe Bednar of Shevlin; Ralph of Lomph, California; George of Boxelder, Montana; and Frank of Bagley. Also one grandchild.

Funeral services were at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with Father Doherty in charge. Pallbearers were Gilbert's sons.

Cease Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
