Adeline Shereck, 96, of Bagley, died on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bagley. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, with a wake service at 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at Bagley.
She was born November 24, 1910 at Lankin, North Dakota, the sixth of 10 children born to Anna and Wenzel Drtina. She married Gilbert Shereck on June 16, 1931 at Bagley.
Adeline worked at the Hospital for several years as a cook. She moved to Blaine, Minnesota and worked for Target for eight years. She returned to Bagley and moved to the Oterkill Apartments when they first opened. She resided there for 30 years until entering the Greensview Health Care Center on September 12, 2006.
Adeline was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
She is survived by her four sons; Ronald (Marie) Shereck of Glen, Minnesota, John (Margaret) Shereck of Bagley, Vernon (Barb) Shereck of Blaine, Dennis Shereck of Bagley; one sister, Irene Hodney of Lankin, North Dakota; one brother, Adolph Drtina of Park River, North Dakota; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in 1960; daughter, Dorene in 1939; son, James killed in Vietnam in 1971, and seven brothers and sisters.
The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
