Rites Held For Wreck Victim
Graveside services for Waymon O. Gilley, 63, father of Jim Gilley of Carnegie, were held December 27 at the Martha cemetery with Rev. Marshal Howard, pastor of the Blair Methodist church, officiating.
Gilley died when his car struck a tree near Blair on Christmas Eve.Examination showed Gilley died of a ruptured liver.
Born in Plainsville, ark. on September 19, 1907, he had been a long-time resident of Jackson county. He had resided in Sentinel about a year.He had been visiting a son in Blair and was returning home alone at the time of the accident.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma, of the home; seven sons, Jim of Carnegie, Ezekiel of Lone wolf, J.W. of Blair, Bobbby Glenn of Mountain Park, Edward of Tulsa, Billy Tom and Johnny Ray of Skiatook; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Byrd of Tulsa, Mrs. Betty Jo Silliman of Blair and Mrs. Sue Jackson of Oklahoma City; a step-daughter, Mrs. Edith Jolliff of Tulsa; three brothers and one sister.
