John Beam, for more than fifty years a resident of Urbana, died at his home in this village, February 17th, after a few days' illness of pneumonia. Mr. Beam was born in the town of Wayne. His father was Isaac Beam, who came from New Jersey early in the century. He is survived by his wife and five children, three sons and two daughters. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Colclough officiating. Burial in Pleasant Valley cemetery. Hammondsport Herald 2/15/1911
