Clark Beam of Hammondsport died at home early Saturday morning. He was 75 years old. A vineyardist until his retirement, he had been employed by the Taylor Wine co for more than 14 years. Born Aug.11, 1881 in Mitchellville, he was the son of John and Mary Warner Beam. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosanna Sanford Beam; three sons John, Clifford, and Harold Beam of Hammondsport; five daughters Mrs. Clara Horton of Lyons, Mrs. Miriam Decker of Bath, Mrs. Doris Draper, Mrs. Gladys Burd, and Mrs. Mildred Jacobs of Hammondsport; three brothers Charles and Herman Beam of Hammondsport, Bert Beam of Rochester; three step-children Mrs. Clifford Jenkins of Industry, Mrs. Harold Ingraham of Newark and Laurence Northrup of North Cohocton; 28 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Bond Funeral Home in Hammondsport at 2 pm Wednesday, the Rev. Florence Perry officiating. Burial in Pleasant Valley cemetery.
