Charles H. Eaton
Charles H. Eaton, 66, 3500 W. 29th died Wednesday, Jan. 2, at his home.
Mr. Eaton was a Santa Fe Railway over-the -road locomotive engineer in the Oklahoma Division rom 1942 until he retired in 1978. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served at the rank of Fireman first Class in the PT Service in the Pacific.
He was born Sept 18, 1918 at Arkansas City, the son of Fred A. and Okie Emley Eaton.
Mr. Eaton was a member of Crescent Lodge No. 133, AF&AM, at Arkansas City.
He was married to Velma "Tommye" Thomas in 1938. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Arkansas City. Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City are in charge of arrangements.
