PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. — On Monday, December 14, 2009, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Jefferson Boro., Pa., Annabel, 80, of Pleasant Hills, Pa., departed this life.
Born February 13, 1929, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Coleman Alderson and Mossie Caldwell Hatfield.
Annabel was the beloved wife of Claude A. Goode, having met while both were attending Concord College in Athens in 1947. She was the mother of Sarah (Dr. W. Thomas) Corder and Victoria McDougal, both of Morgantown, and Claude C. (Erin) Goode of Allentown, Pa.; she was the grandmother of the late Ian Anderson McDougal; a sister of the late Aileen Hatfield, Christine Hatfield Lilly and Dr. Coleman Caldwell Hatfield; a granddaughter of the late William "Cap" Anderson and Nancy Elizabeth (Glenn) Hatfieldk, and the great-granddaughter of the late Anderson "Devil Anse" and Louvicey Chafin Hatfield.
Friends will be received Saturday from 10-11 a.m., which will be immediately followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Griffith Mortuary Inc., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp. Interment will be held at a later date in Athens Cemetery at Athens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Annabel's memory to Labor of Love Ministries, Inc., 980 Stewartstown Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
