At his late home on South Washington Street yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock, David Crone, aged 63 years, died of heart trouble. The funeral will occur from the home of Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

David Crone was a familiar figure on the streets of Kokomo, in which town he had lived for the past twenty-two years. Physically he was built on a heroic mold, big of brawn and big of heart. In every dealing of life, he was ruggedly honest. He was a plain man of the people, one "in whom the trust of his fellow man was never betrayed." David Crone was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, January 31, 1833, and came to Kokomo from Frankfort in 1874. He was married to the widow who, with three children, survives him. January 8, 1855. The children are William Crone and Mrs. Alice Price of this city, and Lulu Crone of Indianapolis. He, in connection with his son, conducted a meat market on East Sycamore Street for many years. He was united with the Christian Church twenty-eight years ago.
