Services for Esther Josephine Agan Tanner, 93, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at Oakwood Baptist Church with Reverend Cleve Haley officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Mrs. Tanner passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2003, in Lubbock. She was born April 14, 1909, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to the late Forney and Addie Hargrove Agan.

She married Ted A. Tanner on October 30, 1926, in Quanah, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1994. She was a member of Fidelity Sunday school class and taught Sunday school classes from 1941 to 1971. Mrs. Tanner was a charter member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Arnold Tanner and Roy Tanner of Lubbock; one sister, Nell Hanna of California; one brother-in-law, Curtis Wayne Tanner of Utah; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
