Bailey Avery, Sunday, Nov. 16, 1913, in New York City, only son of the late Susan F. and Joseph B. Avery of Chicago. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 21, at 2 o'clock, at the Church of the Ascension. Burial at Graceland.

Avery was the general press representative for the Joseph M. Gaites' attractions company. He also worked for several Manhattan playhouses. Avery was approximately 50 years of age at the time of his death in New York. He suffered a fit of coughing that caused a blood vessel in his neck to burst, killing him instantly. At the time of his death he was survived by two daughters who were living in Los Angeles. The funeral was held at the Broadway Tabernacle and then Avery's body was shipped to Chicago for burial.
