Isaac Baldwin was initiated September 15, 1794 into Union Lodge No. 30 F.&A.M. (Free and Accepted Masons), Newtown (now Elmira), New York.

He was a farmer and a merchant, running a general store near Lowman. He married three times, first to Alice Haskell by whom he had six children, second to Zerviah Seeley, widow of Joseph Hinchman, and third to Ruth Drake, widow of Daniel McDowell.

MARRIED. At Elmira, the 22d Nov., by Jacob Kress, Esq., Major Isaac Baldwin to Mrs. McDowell (GENEVA GAZETTE, Geneva, New York, Wednesday, December 9, 1812).

DIED - At Elmira, (N. Y.) on the 21st ult. Col. ISAAC BALDWIN, aged 51, after a short but distressing illness of three days (The Gleaner, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, Friday, December 1, 1815).

DIED. In Elmira, the 21st, Col. Isaac Baldwin, aged 51 (The Geneva Gazette, Geneva, New York, December 6, 1815).

On 18 April 1817, by order of Supreme Court of Tioga County, one third of lots no. 20, 21, and 127, all situate in the Towns of Elmira and Chemung, were set aside for the dower of Ruth Baldwin, widow of Isaac Baldwin. On lot 21, beginning on the north bank of the Tioga River, containing fifteen acres, also another parcel beginning in the middle of the doorway of the house of the late Colonel Thomas Baldwin, deceased, to a stake in the barnyard of the late Isaac Baldwin, to include the west wing of the house, the bedroom adjoining, the parlor, including the space above the parlor and the garret over the whole, containing about one and a half acre. Part of lot 21 on north bank of Tioga River, containing fifty one acres. Part of lot 127 containing forty seven acres.
