Sibley's Company (I) Second Regiment of Dragoons who was enlisted on the third day of April, 1845 to serve five years, is hereby honorably discharged from the Army of the United States, this tenth day of November 1848, at Gen'l Hospital, Camp Lawson, East Pascagoula, Miss. by reason of a Surgeon's Certificate of Pension.

In Sept. 1837, the Secretary of War issued a requisition on Governor Boggs, of Missouri, for 600 volunteers for service in Florida against the Seminole Indians. The first regiment was chiefly raised in Boone County, Missouri.
