Stanley J. Zaborniak, 83, of St. Augustine, died July 31, 2003, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in St. Augustine. He was born in Trenton, N. J. He had resided in St. Augustine since 1991, moving here from Trenton. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Livermore, DD429. He worked for the State of New Jersey as a painter for many years, retiring in 1985.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Heaton Zaborniak.

Services: Graveside services with military honors, 11 a.m. today at San Lorenzo Cemetary. Officiating: Father Leslie Knight. Flowers are gratefully declined and those wishing may make a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice.

Survivors: His daughter, Arlene Grimm, St. Augustine; son, Stanley Zaborniak, Jr., California; sisters, Anna Korona, Nellie Rife, Sophie Werner, Theresa Hawryluk; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
