Leona T. "Tennie" Manier was born 10/9/1877 in Tennessee, (probably Granville, Jackson Co.) to the parents of Amon H. and Elizabeth KEITH Manier. The last name has various spellings, Minnear, Manear. It is not sure if the name Tennie is a nickname of the shortened version of "Tennessee."

Tennie married Lafayette A. "Fayt" Ferrell on 8/4/1894 in Jackson Co., TN and was the Mother of eleven children. The pair separated in the 30's or 40's and were estranged--but not divorced--until Fayt's death in 1946.
