Bringing Body of Joseph Vorachek to Menominee Tonight

Joseph Vorachek of 604 Marinette Avenue, Menominee, died last evening at the Newberry State Hospital in Newberry, where he had been a patient for the last month. Mr. Vorachek had been ill for the past two years. He was 49 years of age, was born in Kewaunee county, Wisconsin, and had lived in Menominee for forty years. Previous to his illness he was employed in the paint department of the Lloyd Mfg. Co. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Emily, a son Joseph Jr., two brothers, Henry, Menominee; James, Two Rivers, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. Al Trottman, Kewaunee, Wis. and Mrs. Geo. Schoevel, Ownsdale, Mich.

The body will arrive in Meonominee on the 10:50 Northwestern train this evening, will be taken to the Lemieux Funeral Home, and on Wednesday afternoon it will be removed to the family home. The funeral will be held on Thursday morning from St. Adelbert's church.

Mr. Vorachek was a member of the Western Fraternal Society and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

The funeral of Joseph Vorachek, Sr., who died early in the week, was held Thursday morning at 8:30 from the family home at 604 Marinette avenue, Menominee, where the body was removed frm the Lemieux Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock from St. Adalbert's church. The Rev. Father Victor Karch was the celebrant of the requiem of high mass.

A profusion of beautiful floral pieces was received at the family home and during the funeral these were in charge of Mrs. James Johnson, Mrs. Peter Fronsee and Mrs. Lyman Janquart. The casket was borne to and from the funeral car by A. J. Selinski. John Beguin, James Johnson, Peter Fronsec, Otto Umnus and Lyman Janquart.

A long cortege followed from the church to the family lot at Riverside where the casket was encased in a steel vault and interred in a grave lined with evergreens.

From away to attend the funeral were: James Vorachek, Two Rivers, Wis.; Mrs. Emma Trottman, Mrs. Ed. Trottman and Joseph Selner, Kewaunee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. William Hoida, Stephenson, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoida, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hoida and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Michaely, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Hoida, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Halada, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Halada, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. John Hoida and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rimple, Coleman, Wis.
