Elizabeth Cissel Hurt 84, of Ellicott City died on Oct 26 at the Sun Towers Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Wiliam I. S. Brown Cissel Sr. and the late Georgia Hobbs Cissel. She was a nurse for many years and had served in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II. Elizabeth was a 1951 graduate of University of Maryland. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in West Friendship. She is survived by her son, David L. Hurt Sr. of El Paso; brother S. Brown Cissel Jr. of Marriottsville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services
were held at the Haight Funeral Home on Oc. 31 with the Rev. David Kolda officiating.
Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
