Brown Cissel Sr. and the late Georgia Hobbs Cissel. She was a nurse for many years and had served in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II. Elizabeth was a 1951 graduate of University of Maryland. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in West Friendship. She is survived by her son, David L. Hurt Sr. of El Paso; brother S. Brown Cissel Jr. of Marriottsville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services
were held at the Haight Funeral Home on Oc. 31 with the Rev. David Kolda officiating.
Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
