Mrs. Cordelia Halling, .....(illegible), a resident of Lanagan 50 years, died at her home at 7 o'clock Monday morning. Funeral services were held at the Lanagan Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. W. H. Sparks of Pineville officiating.
Mrs. Halling was an active steward at the Lanagan Methodist church until recently. Her husband died about eight years ago. Surviving are two sons, J. H. Halling of Deerfield, Kansas, and six daughters, Mrs. Minnie Davis of Hutchinson, Mrs. Emma Roberts of Englewood, Calif., Mrs. Tracy Regan of Joplin, Mrs. Ida Eppard of Ianagan [sic], Mrs. Annie Chaney of Anderson and Mrs. W. C. Elliff of Pineville.
(Written to the side of this obituary, next to survivors is "W. H. Halling of Jet-more, Kansas." Believe this was to indicate William Henry Halling had been left out)

Cardilia [sic] C. Dunnaway [sic] was born in the state of Tennessee, August 29, 1849. She passed from this life April 11, 1938, being 89 years, 8 months and 13 days of age.
She came to Cassville, Mo., when two years of age, afterward moving to Ft. Scott, Kans. during the Civil War, moving back here 42 years ago. She was united in marriage to John Halling in 1872 and to this union were born eleven children, eight now living. Mr. Halling departed this life eight years ago. The children now living are: J. L. Halling of Deerfield, Kansas, Minnie Davis of Hutchinson, Kansas, Emma Roberts of Inglewood, Calif., W. H. Halling of Jet-More Kansas, Treacy Regan of Joplin, Mo., Ida Eppard of Lanagan, Mo., Annie Chaney of Anderson and Rebecca Elliff of Pineville. Also surviving are four sisters and one brother, forty-two grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
