Marion Center
Peter Lazeration, 82, of Marion Center, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at his residence. The son of John and Katherine Zagrodnichek Lazeration, he was born July 9, 1925, in Luciusboro. Mr. Lazeration had been employed as a coal miner for Helen Mining Co. He was veteran of World War II and a member of the Clymer American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Susan Kaletta; nine children: Ronald, Marion Center, Nancy Murphy and husband Michael, Indiana, Mary Ferguson and husband Samuel, York, Mark and wife Kathy, Kittanning, Paul and wife Tracey, Marion Center, Nick and wife Renee, Creekside, Matthew and wife Mary Beth, Creekside, David, Delaware, and James and wife Rebecca, Verona; two brothers, William and wife Hazel, Buffalo, N.Y., and Andy and wife Lillian, Marion Center; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mike, John and Steve. Friends were received at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, with the funeral Monday at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Catholic Church, Dixonville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
