DAVID EASTIN DIES AT HOME IN GREENTOP

Funeral Services To Be Held There at 2 p.m. Today.

Greentop, Mo. July 24, 1937—David Eastin, 83 years old, a well-known resident of this city, died at 6 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his son, Burr L. Eastin. He had been ill for several months.

He was born near Mattoon, Ill. on August 10, 1853, but had been a resident of Schuyler county the greater part of his life, living on a farm until he retired from active life.

He was married to Mrs. Louisa Payton, of near Lancaster, June 11, 1874, and to them seven children were born, five of whom are living. They are Mrs. Fern Morris and Mrs. Emma Langfitt of Lawton, Okla.; James R. Eastin of near Farmington, Iowa, Mrs. Gladys Pierson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Burr L. Eastin, Greentop. Mrs. Eastin died about a year ago. There is one surviving sister, Mrs. Frances Hoffman, of Springfield, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Christian Church here.

Greentop, Mo. July 24, 1937—David Eastin, 83 years old, a well-known resident of this city, died at 6 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his son, Burr L. Eastin. He had been ill for several months.

He was born near Mattoon, Ill. on August 10, 1853, but had been a resident of Schuyler county the greater part of his life, living on a farm until he retired from active life.
