Kate Wade was born on January 13, 1904 to Charles E. Wade and Minerva Allred.
She passed away peacefully July 7, 2002 at South Valley Health Center where she was living at the time.
She married Harold Roe on July 28, 1926 (divorced and deceased).
She later married Dewey Whipple divorced and deceased) and Heber Williams (deceased).
She loved music and played the piano, organ and violin.
She served in many positions in her wards and branches for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She also loved to quilt and made many beautiful quilts for family and friends.
She is survived by her sister Helen (Dee) Sheffield, California; daughters Lucille (Donald, deceased) Childs, Salt Lake City; Alice (Thomas Hepple, deceased / Verl) Behrmann, West Jordan, currently serving in the Ireland, Dublin mission; Barbara (Virl) Nash, Idaho; Florence (Charles, divorced and deceased) Lewis, California.
Preceded in death by a son, Harold Franklin Roe and a daughter Phyllis Arlene (David) Slay. She has a numerous posterity who love her and will miss her.
Her family would like to thank the staff at the South Valley Health Center for their care and kindness over these past several years in caring for Kate.
Funeral services Sat. 10:00 a.m., July 13, 2002 at the LDS Ward Chapel, 7645 S. 3200 W.
Friends may call Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Sat. 1 hr. prior to services at the church.
She will be interred at the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 1st East, Tooele, Utah.
