~0bit~Mary Amanda, daughter of Alfred and Clementine Long Ramsey, was born February 24, 1853, near Bedford, Indiana, and departed this life on February 25, 1928, at her home in Troy Mills, at the age of 75 years and l day. She came with her parents to Iowa at the age of two years and had lived in and around Troy Mills most of her life. She was married to Uriah Jennings September 9, 1867. Her husband preceded her in death July 31, 1914. To this union were born five children: two sons and three daughters. One son, Ira Clarence, died in childhood and and one daughter, Irena Belle Moody, died in young womanhood. They are buried Upper Spring Grove. She leaves to mourn death, two daughters, Mrs. Susan Clementine Wolf of Murray, Iowa, and Lovisa Mary Arnett of Troy Mills; one son Frank of Troy Mills, one sister, three half brothers, one half sister, four grandchildren and many friends who are saddened by her passing. Mrs. Jennings united with the Christian Church early in life and in her younger days was an active worker. In later years failing health prevented her from taking active part in church service. She had been confined to her bed since last June, during which time she has been cared for by her children.
