Abraham married Rose (you know, a __ by any other name, as in Rose, Rosana, Rosanna, Rosina, and Maria Rosina, take your pick), Walter, Walters, Walther or Walthers, 29 December 1803 in Mett, Biel/Bienne, Canton Bern, Switzerland. Just how many children they had in Switzerland before they immigrated to the United States 30 years later is uncertain. They brought with them their son John, together with his wife Anna and their son John. They settled in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, and later moved on further west to Butler county, where Abraham died a few years after executing a will that named six people:
- his beloved wife Rosina
- his sons John and Jacob
- his daughter Maria Maurer and
her daughter Mary
- someone whose name we haven't been
able to decipher who was apparently
buying his real estate under contract
