LILLIE DEAN
Lillie May Tacker Dean was born on Dec. 20, 1876, to Minerva and George W. Farlin in Crete, Nebr. She passed away on August 2, 1962.
She was married to Lee O. Tacker on June 3, 1897 and to this union were born four children, Howard J. Tacker of Clarence, Ia., Fay A. Hull of Chariton, Cecil L. Tacker of Long Beach, Calif., and Lloyd H. Tacker who passed away July 7, 1947, at age 35. She was preceded in death by Mr. Tacker on Sept. 4, 1927.
Lillie was married to Samuel Dean on May 2, 1931. They resided in Clarence, Ia., until the passing of Mr. Dean on Sept. 30, 1934. Mrs. Dean resided in Chariton all her life except for the six years she resided in Clarence. She was a longtime member of the Baptist church.
Besides her three children, she is survived by a step-daughter, Deloris Michael of Vinton, and by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home Saturday, Aug. 4, 1962, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Clarence Newby officiated at the services. Interment was made in the Chariton cemetery.
