William was the son of William Thomas and Thursey Cook Botts. He ws reared in the Adamson-Gowen areas and worked in the coal mines around Gowen until he started working in construction, which caused him to relocate frequently. He retired in 1959 and moved to the Indianola area where he lived until his death. He married Judity Taylor on Oct. 22, 1943 in Whitley City, KY. Survived by his wife Judy, of the home; four daughters, Lorene Conners of Turlock, CA, Judy Higuera of Pacifica, CA, Kay Cesna of Modesto, CA and Dorothy Selfridge of Lodi, CA.
