MARGARET O.(BOTTS) WISE
Newcomerstown-Margaret O. Wise, 84, of 428 Nugent Street, Newcomerstown, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, July 8, 1996 at her residence.
Margaret was born on January 23, 1912, in McAlester,(Pittsburg County) Oklahoma. Margaret was the daughter of the late Thomas and Thursey (Cook) Botts.
On February 8, 1969, she married Ernest Henry Wise, who survives. (She married her first husband, Carmine Byrd, on May 1, 1927; he predeceased her in 1966).
Margaret Wise was a restaurant manager for her vocation. She was a member of the Annadel Baptist Church in Tennessee.
Along with her husband, Ernest Henry, she is survived by a daughter, Nesby Byrd of Pioneer, Tennessee, a son-in-law, Horace Wilson of Kimbolton, as well as 14 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. She is also survived by step-sons: Ernest Wise of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, Freemont D.L. Wise of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Malcolm Morris Wise and James W. Wise of Ohio; step-daughters: Elva Lee Loretta "Sally" Wise Wright of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, Gaylene M. Wise Cox of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Naomi Wise Keller of Maryland, Dorothy Wise Rigby of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; a sister, Fannie Byrd of Atlanta, Georgia, and a brother, Lester Botts of Decatur, Illinois.
Margaret was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Wilson; two sons, Carl Byrd and Dean Byrd; two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 1996 at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with the Reverend Glen Shedlock officiating. Burial will follow in the East State Street Cemetery in New Comerstown, Ohio. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
