Son of Ebenezer and Mary Stone. Moved to Chesterfield, NH where his brother Nathaniel was a tavern keeper. His children all born in Hinsdale, NH. In 1805 moved to Townshend, VT. After the death of his wife Rachel (Grandy) C.1825 he removed to Westminster Vt. Died at the home of his son Horage in Westminster at age 92. Father of Abigail 1776, Rachel 1777, Ebenezer 1779, Randal 1786, Lydia 1788, Sally 1791, Lucy 1794, Hiram 1794 and Elijah 1796.
