Freelove was the daughter of Daniel Wightman and Katherine Westcott. She married Eliphalet Gustin on 11 Mar. 1754 in Norwich, New London Co., CT.
Freelove and her family, along with her husband's parents and siblings, settled in Sussex Co., NJ before 1763. Reportedly, about 1777/1778, she and her husband set out to relocate to Canada. They were never heard from again. They are thought to have died or been killed while en route, perhaps in the State of New York. Their son John is supposed to have searched for them there for several years.
