Born in Vermont. His father ran mills and moved around alot. In 1852 they were in Providence, RI, and in 1855 in New Hampshire.

In 1856 his father moved his family west to Winona Co, Minnesota.
In 1859 the family moved south to Franklin Co, Missouri.
In 1861 they moved to Gasconade Co, Mo.
In 1865 they moved to Rolla, Mo.
In 1868 they moved to Douglas Co, Mo. where his father built a settlement called Richville.
In 1870 George was appointed the first postmaster of Richville.

In 1873 George married his school teacher Susan Carson. George was mainly a self-educated man, attending school less than 9 months.

He worked with his father in the milling business for a few years. I wonder if he started the Pease mill about 15 miles south of Lebanon on the Osage Fork of the Gasconade River (Laclede Co). It was started by a man named George Pease, but I'm not sure if it was this one.

In 1880 he went alone to Michigan on a business venture but returned to Ozark, Mo. after 6 months of unprofitable labor.
He and his brother Clinton started mills together.

In 1884 he built a mill in Pottersville, Howell Co, MO. and lived there. He was also the postmaster of Pottersville.

In 1889 he and Clinton bought the Enterprise Roller Mill in West Plains, Mo. and he moved to West Plains to run it, where he had an "elegant home" (newspaper article).

By 1900 George and Susan had had 7 children, but only 2 were living. After their son, Frank died, they started the first lending library in West Plains in 1894.

George became a minister in the Methodist church in West Plains, as early as 1891.

He was a Republican.
In 1910 he was living in Idaho Co, Idaho.

In 1914 he was living in LaCross, Washington where he was the pastor of the Methodist church. He died there in Dec. and was brought back to West Plains, Mo. to be buried beside his mother and 2 children, Frank and Ida.

His oldest child, Rev. Kingsley Pease was a Methodist missionary in India.

Wife Susie die in 1936 in the Methodist retirement home in Marionville, Mo.
