LOGAN MAN FIRST 'DUCK' VICTIM

Logan, Utah (AP)--Karl Kloepfer, 23, who was wounded on the opening day of Utah's duck season, died at the Logan LDS Hospital today. He was the first reported fatality of the 1952 duck season which opened Oct. 17.

Officers said Kloepfer was accidentally shot when his brother, Fred, 20, raised his gun for a shot at a flock of geese. The gun was discharged accidentally and the blast caught Karl in the back.
Son of Frederick J. Kloepfer and Margaret A. Schaub.
