Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Hughes was the daughter of the late T. H. “Harry” Klein and Ethel Haralson Klein. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert M. Hughes; one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by a daughter, Laurin H. Hines of Laredo, Texas; three sons, Hubert M. Hughes Jr. of Anna, Texas, Wayne F. Hughes of Mobile, Ala., and James T. “Tommy” Hughes of Vicksburg; a sister, Marion K. Larue of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White, pastor of Bowmar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Monday until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Hughes’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
